MotivationLab is a place where research and creative interventions in the areas of “Social influence”, “Persuasion” and “Behavioral economics” can be shared, discussed and initiated. It’s a way to share our enthusiasm about the field and a roof for internships, and project ideas. MotivationLab, is closely linked to the 3rd year Social influence course of the Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences of the University of Groningen. But MotivationLab is currently primarily a place that still has to grow.

Course Social influence & Persuasion

The environment, the economy, the spread of Corona virus, my girlfriend Lise not putting the cap on our toothpaste. Most problems entail human behavior, either as a cause, as a solution or often both. This raises the question that has been on my mind since I was 6 and wanted a pocket knife from my parents: “How can you motivate people to engage in certain behaviors?” This question we try to answer in the course “Social influence”
